Morton-Barber\/Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update – June 2, 2021<\/strong><\/h1>\n

At Morton-Barber, the safety of our students, instructors and employees is our top priority, and we are closely monitoring this pandemic and the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).\u00a0 We are committed to providing the highest quality educational programs and support under any circumstances.\u00a0 We understand that due to company policies and state of Ohio mandates, students may not be able to attend a live class at our school in order to complete their coursework.\u00a0 Morton-Barber will be resuming live “hybrid” classes effective Monday, August 2, 2021, as the risk for infection continues to diminish.\u00a0 In the meantime, all FINRA classes are being taught virtually and insurance classes are allowing “limited seating” to be instructed in a hybrid format.\u00a0 Call the school for more information.<\/p>\n

Please remember, even if you are feeling a little unwell, please stay home. Staying home when sick is the best way to prevent the spread of germs. We will work with you to make up a class or provide other online or self-study options so you can complete your education successfully.<\/p>\n

Beginning June 2, 2021, per State of Ohio and CDC Guidelines, masks will not be required upon entry into our facility if student has been fully vaccinated.\u00a0 Please feel free to continue to wear a mask if you are more comfortable with that added layer of protection.\u00a0 We will continue to take temperatures and provide masks upon request of the student at time of check-in.<\/p>\n

Additionally, FINRA will grant a courtesy cancellation of an upcoming exam appointment and\/or extend the candidate’s existing enrollment period to take a FINRA exam. Flexible Rescheduling<\/u><\/strong><\/h4>\n

Please have candidates contact Candidate Support Services if they need to reschedule an exam due to illness, are exhibiting flu like symptoms, or have been directed to self-quarantine by their local health authority. If a candidate arrives at a testing center and is exhibiting flu-like symptoms, the candidate will be denied admission to the test center and may be required to reschedule. We are monitoring Test Center Capacity so that we can increase availability once COVID-19 has been contained.<\/p>\n

Candidates will be permitted to use medical masks and gloves while they are testing. \u00a0Please note these items will be subject to visual inspection upon entry to the test center. \u00a0For a full list of permissible items please\u00a0check here<\/a><\/p>\n

Test Center Cleanliness<\/strong><\/h4>\n

We have fully reviewed all test center operations and continue to reinforce expected actions at all test centers around the world that will mitigate the risk of spread of the virus at these locations. \u00a0These procedures include regularly cleaning high-touch surfaces (ex. test station keyboard keys, mouse, biometric touch chip device) and providing disposable wipes so that common surfaces can be wiped.<\/p>\n

Test Center Closures<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Test center closures are being evaluated on a case-by-case basis with a close eye on specific government actions, including closing local offices, public spaces, and university campuses, along with building closures where the test centers are located.<\/p>\n
